What to Look for When Reviewing a Purchase Order
JHagani
Hi,
Going through AS9100 qualification.
Can anyone help me with vii.four.ii Purchasing Information.
Any sample of an acceptable PO Quality Clauses that would satisfy this requirement?
Cheers for your assistance.

Clause seven.4.2 of AS9100 contains a very adept list of quality requirements that should go on your requirements flysheet for your PO'south. In addition your customers will bulldoze additional requirements such every bit use of NADCAP suppliers etc.
Additionally you should add a requirement that when your suppliers quality management systems changes (I.due east. obtains ISO 9001 or AS9100 or loss in that location in) that your system must be notified and your requirements for first commodity inspection.

jeff,
Thanks,
I am being told our Pos do not meet all the buy data requirements of seven.4.two clause, ie: a) requirements for blessing of product, procedures.....
This specific Po calls for a process per a prime contractor specification.
The Specification in detail calls for all required procedures, tests, inspection requirements, even personnel qualifications.
So past including this Spec in my PO, I believe I have included all information required by my supplier to consummate the process.
Why practise I need to add whatever other info?

You have to enquire the question to whomever is telling you that your POs do not satisfy the requirements.

Hi Cari
I have seen the purchasing information requirement met in another style, not just the purchase order clause method. There are a number of mutual clauses you lot can include on your company standard terms and weather, things like supplier notification of not-conforming products, right of access past client etc, control of records retained past supplier (4.2.four), requirements to flow down applicable requirements and others..... That style every purchase order doesn't take to include all these statements, y'all tin can just include a statement invoking the ST&C's that you requite the supplier the first time yous utilize them. (Maybe part of the supplier blessing process??) Clauses so but need to include the specific technical data and requirements related to the part or assembly.
It might aid to save a few trees ???
Thank you
Chris

Chris,
I would be very careful about adding quality requirements in the purchase society terms and conditions because of contract law. In many cases the suppliers terms of sale when accepted past the customer will override customers PO T&C'due south making them unenforceable.
I recommend that you check with a lawyer who in competent in national contract law before placing quality requirements in the T&Cs.

Hi Clara
Can I advise you become to the Boeing.com site and look at the supplier portal? In there you will find a number of dissimilar quality system requirements and special requirements depending on the production you are selling and aerospace division you are selling to. At that place are several references to typical statements and clauses that will satisfy the non-conformity, right of admission, menstruation downward provisions etc.. you seek. Please refer to my thread above, I believe most of the standard general information should be in your standard terms and atmospheric condition, the aforementioned method used by Boeing and about other OEM's.
Good luck with the inspect.
Cheers
Chris
